Jitter and Jam by Bart Edelman

Can’t come fast enough

To suit my taste.

Out with the old,

In with the new.

All that hot jazz,

And a lot more,

If I play it right,

Sneak up on my shadow,

Before it knows I’m there,

Cause as much commotion

As traffic allows,

Down each one-way street

I call home sweet home—

Despite the jitter and jam.
