Chip Meister was born and raised in Pittsburgh.  He double majored in Theatre and English, with independent study in creative writing, at Dickinson College.  After working for several years in regional theatre in the southern US, he earned his teaching credentials and taught middle school for over twenty years in New England and Maryland.  Chip started writing poetry and lyrics in high school for fun, and has now been writing for almost 50 years.  He has had pieces published in local literary magazines and has participated in public readings.  He has two grown children and now lives in Ohio.
