  1. Hello Pack

I do hope that the possible little “misunderstanding” in the header was resolved peaceably. Boo appears to be extremely attracted to water and controversy. And the Hollow also looks like an area where Headless Horsemen (I see no need to gender neutralize someone unlike to occur save for imagination) might be seen, late at night when the moon is high and “so am I.”

    Another pleasing collection.

      Hi Leila

Boo displays the same courage upon the waterways of the Great Lakes as he does in the alleyways of Chicago.

He’s only ever been on a boat less than a handful of times but each time he might as well have been Santiago from The Old Man and the Sea.

That Sleepy Hollow sign appeared in an area of dirt roads with no names and the sign itself is not attached to a road, nor to anything else human that’s visible. (The nearest village is at least thirty miles away from the sign.) I felt like Ichabod Crane on mushrooms probably because I was on mushrooms, and not the gourmet variety.

The car body that’s descending into the cedar swamp in the other pic is from the 1920s. Four hours north of Detroit.

Thanks to Northern Michigan for providing the locale for all these pics. Like the great Jim Harrison, the greatest poet of Northern Michigan of all time, it’s a land I’ve been visiting since before I could walk and talk (because I was taken there by grandparents, etc). For the first 40 years of my life or so, I spent almost all my Thanksgiving weekends in Northern Michigan. God Bless the USA – the mythological land of freedom, that is. May she continue to provide a dream of freedom in the future – and may she do an even better job of living up to that dream, too.

      • Hi DWB

It is a good thing that certain friends of mine from the 80’s didn’t find the Sleepy Hollow sign.

Boo does exude an Alpha personality. Always up and after it.

He’s a good fellow as is the Col. and Bandit seems quite the Lady.

Yes, the Colonel and Bandit are great people. The only reason they don’t get more air time is because they don’t live with me full time. Boo is usually out ahead but they have other qualities just as valuable. Those friends of yours from the ’80s sound fun!
