Saragun Verse: Ode to Sideways Ugliness

Sideways: From the hill which look alike apartments
Trade in meth, crack and pussy

Sigh ways: To the dead old tavern in which
Wooden chips were gold

Slide ways: From the fallen House of the Lord
The tabernacle in which the Hopeless Angel Dwells

All ways: To the duct taped tenements remembered in pain
May the tipped over gods continue to watch over you and me

  1. Hi Mick

The Duct Tape Tenement was condemned in 1999 and that picture is from last month. The very top “unit” is actually dislodged and just sits on top of the thing.

Progress is a tad slow around here.

    Thank you!

    Hi Leila

Wild pictures and commentary! Your photography does something to the mind. It makes the skewed world look like it really does.

    A dilapidated beautiful series!

  3. Thank you CJA!

The idea came from the statue tipping that happens a lot in the human race. I imagined the view of the god who dwells in the thing. That all began with not as ancient Egyptians knocking off the noses of the statues of even more ancient Egyptians. We are a spectacularly useless species when we luxuriate in mob hate and futile expressions. I wish that would change. But it is as natural as shitting one’s pants is to a toddler.

    Thanks again!
