the proper care and feeding

Happy to see your second appearance. Haikus remind me of little kind breezes in the summertime.

You made a profound statement by packing a lot into the first poem, including one of the most powerful human truths there is (the need for creativity and solitude, or solitude and creativity, and I don’t just mean for artists, but for everyone) which is embodied here in wonderfully compact imagery and language.
The second poem stands on its own but it also, somehow, acts as a counterweight to the first poem. As such, these are both a tiny series and separate works.
Haikus are little kind summer breezes as the brilliant Leila says, or little songs sung by the summer breezes, too. Your songs give this beautifully odd and old tradition of the haiku its due by making it new again, as Pound said to do.

Sharp & resonant – so much so that one would like to read more by this particular Blake.

Nice haikus. Good in their own right, and they also contribute to the eclectic nature of the site.
