This week it is our pleasure to rerun stories by contributors to our site this past year.
We are going public in January, and, yes, this rerun thing is a naked attempt to fill the days until the new business begins, without first creating new work.
We are all about the TRUTH in the Springs.
But that does not mean a lack of quality. This is a fine work by Mick, and since many more eyes are trained toward the site than before, it, and the items that follow deserve a second go.
This also allows me to break in the link feature, which we hope you will hit now…
Hi Mick
I had more time to read this one than last time and came away even more impressed by your style and knowledge.

Thanks for the re-run. Leila. Missing for 8 years and now it’s getting double exposure!
Glad you liked it. mick

This is a classic of your fictional history mode. As entertaining as it is educational and thought-provoking, adventure and knowledge combined.

PS
Still working on a piece about STC. He was such a whirlwind of a figure with such a wide sweep that it can be hard to get ahold of him at times. At the same time, there are a million different angles one can take, which is great.

Thanks, Dale. Great that you enjoyed it second-time around.
Best wishes for STC piece. Agreed it’s a tough one: he wrote such a lot on so many topics. But at least you’re spoilt for choice. mick

The sheer “pull” of this entire piece. So vividly detailed every word resonates. The “cwm is transformed” – as is so much else – right down to the chap who adopted “a pipe in lieu of a personality.” But that’s just first read in. As with so much on this site: the kind of writing that survives many re-readings. Brilliant.

Thanks Geraint. Your kind comments make me doubly grateful to Saragun Springs for rescuing this piece from oblivion. mick
