Conservative? by Doug Hawley

Conservative?

A recent president of the United States has been mislabeled a conservative. It could be because he claims to be a Republican which is supposed to be the conservative party.

I’ve heard that he ran as a Republican despite having been a registered Democrat because he knew he wouldn’t win as a Democrat in the unlikely event of him being so nominated. He is only loyal to himself.

Conservatives are states’ rights believers, but he will send in unwanted federal troops or nationalize state’s guard (Oregon, California) when he feels like it.

Conservatives stand for fiscal responsibility. He intends to produce many more trillions in deficit as he did the last time around.

Radical changes are not conservative. He has recklessly cut programs and workers with very little planning or thought. Other presidents have pruned government, but with care.

Tariff wars are not only against the conservative idea of buying where things are cheapest, but could easily cause a recession.

He is about as radical socially as any president has been:

Three wives so far. Plenty of adultery.

Paid big money for sex with a well known adult actress. She has dissed his male parts.

He has gold furniture where he lived. Definitely not conservative.

His current wife did damage to the White House grounds.

His association with Jeffrey Epstein and the “Grab them by the pussy” tape show someone who is not conservative or normal.

Stupidity, narcissism, and rage tweeting are not conservative characteristics, but they define him.

  1. Hi Doug

Thank you again for more good stuff!

You speak well of an unwell topic and person. America created “him,” and only America will uncreate him.

It begs a question that needs to be considered deeply: Why?

Well done! He is, if anything, a radical, emotional response to liars in office. People elected a blatant liar as revenge.

Great job boiling it all down to a few hard words. It speaks volumes about a man who would take the usual American business-style suit of clothing and turn it into a kind of Nazi-style uniform.

Another thing that can perhaps be added. America is supposed to be a democracy. How can the nation be a democracy when its so-called “supreme leader” (so-called by tens of millions at minimum) posts absurd pictures of himself wearing a crown, and clearly seems to feel he is a kind of royal figure, someone set very far apart and very far above “the rabble” he claims to speak for, someone so special that he deserves nothing less than a gold toilet? Perhaps not since Nero has naked vanity and selfish stupidity been so in the raw. It, literally, makes Richard Nixon look like a humble man of the people. No joke! And at least Ronnie Rayguns had a genuine sense of humor.

I think the fact that DT was one of America’s most popular reality television stars of all time speaks more volumes about how this tragedy has come to pass. For a decade and a half, many millions of Americans dutifully tuned in to watch the man say “you’re fired” on tv over and over again in such a fake setting that anyone in their right mind would know instantly it was all a set-up. It bespeaks a mass population that is less than well-educated at best.

During America’s first Civil War, the average American could understand Shakespeare easily (he was hugely popular even in the Western mining camps) and had been raised since birth on the eternal truths contained in the King James Bible. If they couldn’t read it themselves, it was read to them.

The average American can now read at a third to fifth grade level, at best. It’s the same level at which Trump aims all of his communications. Straight at the folks who are supposed to be adults and who are able to read at a third to fifth grade level: or less.

All of the great “Founding Fathers” repeatedly stated that in order to have a democracy, you need to have a well-educated population. They will be too easy to fool otherwise. Even, or especially, the slave holders knew this, since reading was the one thing that was kept more illegal for the slave than any other thing. And it was the intellectual and spiritual seizing of the King James Bible by the black man and woman in America that allowed them to break free of their shackles eventually. They believed the Bible more than the white business and political class did, and they took it to heart. There was a reason Martin Luther King and Martin Luther King, Jr., were both ministers.

I think that is one big reason why we’ve ended up with this clown as our supreme leader, if not THE reason: too many people simply can’t read any more; so they have no idea what’s really going on.

  3. I think the rest of us are simply non-plussed by so much of what is going on. Plus, I think unless ‘politics’ is your thing it’s enough to keep up with your own country’s shenanigans. So, I’m not ignoring life in the Springs it’s just that I am totally unqualified to comment at all.

    FACT:

In Sept. of 2015, Doug Hawley, under an assumed name, donated some $200, via PayPal, to the Committee to Elect Trump (CET). Thinking he was contributing to have the reality show veteran inducted into the Apprentice Hall of Fame, Hawley was completely misled.

When Trump won the election for president, Hawley tried vociferously to reclaim his money and as a result found himself on any number of unfortunate “lists,” including DOGE, Social Security and the IRS. Today the hapless actuary remains at large, trying to regain his good name.

    FICTION: Everything after “fact.”
