The author Doug Hawley, usually known as mm for Mr. Mirthless, spent much of his life as a mathematician or actuary (one who counts dead people).  For a break, he tried his fingers at writing.  Behold, he has a long list of publications in the usual genres (and the odd paranormal porn).  His efforts have been aided by Bill Tope (BT, Topes, whatever) with collaborations AKA clabbers, and Maysam Kandej in Tehran.  The latter is particulary important since he has pledged to translate a couple of mm’s stories into Farsi / Parsi, something that Doug has hoped for, for many years.  Yes two fors.   Of course the biggest help has been the late Kitzhaber who improved laps and keyboards and Sharon who has kept him alive beyond the expectancy of the American male.
